  Title: Afar Triangle, Ethiopia, Africa
  Description:
The Afar Triangle of Ethiopia (11.5N, 42.5E) is a very active plate
tectonic region. The region is stressed by Saudi Arabia moving away from
Africa and East Africa tearing itself away from the rest of Africa.
Because of the plate movements in three different directions, The Afar
Triangle is stretched thin and torn resulting in a series of faults seen
as long parallel valleys. There is frequent volcanic activity and lava
  flows occur along the faults.
