Astronauts L. Gordon Cooper Jr. (left), command pilot, and Charles Conrad 
Jr., pilot, the prime crew of the Gemini 5 space flight, prepare their 
cameras while aboard a C-130 aircraft flying near Laredo. The two 
astronauts are taking part in a series of visual acuity experiments to aid 
them in learning to identify known terrestrial features under controlled 
conditions.
