He and other crew members Commander Brian Duffy, Pilot Pamela Ann Melroy and Mission Specialists Leroy Chiao, Peter J.K . Wisoff, Michael E. Lopez-Alegria and William S. McArthur Jr. expressed their eagerness to launch to a waiting group of media at the Shuttle Landing Facility. The mission is the fifth flight for the construction of the International Space Station. The payload includes the Integrated Truss Structure Z-1 and the third Pressurized Mating Adapter.
