NASA's Space Infrared Telescope Facility (SIRTF) is a new platform for exploring the universe using infrared light. The Observatory is comprised of two major components: the Cryogenic Telescope Assembly (which contains the telescope and SIRTF's three main instruments) and the spacecraft.
