The Radiation Belt Storm Probes are a pair of probes designed to help us understand the Sun's influence on the Earth and Near-Earth space by studying the Earth's radiation belts on various scales of space and time. RBSP is scheduled to launch on an Atlas-V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in August 2012.
