Launch Complex 36
Launch Complex 36 consists of two launch pads and a blockhouse and was built for the
Atlas/Centaur unmanned launch vehicle program in 1961. Under NASA sponsorship it operated
in that capacity through the late 1980's when
it was transferred to the USAF to launch the ATLAS II unmanned launch
vehicle.
