Diplaying the SED39129332-XXX
The PGSC is an IBM THINKPAD model 755 laptop computer that is IBM AT compatible, has a IBM PC-DOS (IBM-disk operating system), and has been modified for use in the Orbiter environment. This view includes the expansion chasis, which is reffered by the top-most assembly number. The PGSC and the following items are GFE available for use on Space Shuttle missions and on all supporting functions for payload development and crew software.

  • PGSC-486 computer (IBM 755c Thinkpad)
    • removable 3.5" floppy drive
    • removable 540 Mb hard drive
  • Expansion unit assembly
    • PCMMU PC board
    • RS-422 Iso Com PC board
  • DC power cable (from shuttle power to computer)

Optional Equipment:

  • TV tuner
  • TV tuner adapter cable
  • RS-232A cable
  • RS-232c cable
  • PCMMU cable
  • RS-422 cable
  • RS-422 Y cable
  • DC power supply (converts facility power to 28VDC shuttle power)
