Title: STS-57 Endeavour, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 105, lifts off from KSC LC Pad 39B
  Description:
The liftoff of STS-57 Endeavour, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 105, from Kennedy
Space Center (KSC) Launch Complex (LC) Pad 39B is captured on film by an
audio-activated camera positioned at the 270 foot level on the rotating
service structure (RSS). The closeup view shows OV-105 atop its external
tank (ET) and flanked by two solid rocket boosters (SRBs) as it rises above
the mobile launcher platform (below) just after its 9:07:22 am (Eastern
Daylight Time (EDT)) liftoff. The firing SRBs and space shuttle main
engines (SSMEs) fill the pad with exhaust. In the foreground the fixed
service structure (FSS) 195 foot level catwalk is retracted. The Atlantic
  Ocean appears in the distance.
