  Group 13, 1990 Astronaut Candidate (ASCAN) Ellen Ochoa, wearing helmet and 
  parachute harness, listens to instructor's directions before a parasail 
  training exercise at Vance Air Force Base (AFB) in Enid, Oklahoma.  This 
  portion of the survival training course is designed to familiarize the 
  trainee with the handling and "feel" of a parachute in the event of an 
  emergency ejection from a jet aircraft. The parachute creates the backdrop 
  for this photo. Ochoa, along with 22 other ASCANs, trained at Vance from 
  07-29-90 through 07-31-90.
