  Title: Visual aid titled "The Magellan Mission to Venus"
  Description:
  Visual aid titled "The Magellan Mission to Venus" describes data that will
  be collected and science objectives. Images and brightness temperatures
  will be obtained for 70-90% of the surface, with a radar resolution of 360
  meters or better. The global gravity field model will be refined by
  combining Magellan and Pioneer-Venus doppler data. Altimetry data will be
  used to measure the topography of 70-90% of the surface with a vertical
  accuracy of 120-360 meters. Science objectives include: to improve the
  knowledge of the geological history of Venus by analysis of the surface
  morphology and  electrical properties and the processes that control them;
  and to improve the knowledge of the geophysics of Venus, principally its
  density distribution and dynamics. Magellan, named for the 16th century
  Portuguese explorer, will be deployed from the payload bay (PLB) of
  Atlantis, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 104, during mission STS-30.
