  • Description: The Crawler Transporter slowly retreats down the incline at Launch Pad 39B after depositing the Mobile Launcher Platform with the Space Shuttle Columbia. Columbia is undergoing final preparations for the STS-78 launch, targeted for June 20. The primary payload is the Life and Microgravity Spacelab (LMS). The seven-member crew are slated to spend at least 16 days in space.
